"With the current staffing crisis on a recent shift we were unable to staff 30% of our beds. We started with morning with 31 patients in the waiting room and nearly 13-hour waits. We tried our best with the available resources but it is impossible to recover from this. This is happening across the country. The constant moral injury and ever-increasing workload causes more and more staff to leave, worsening the problem. We feel hopeless and beaten down."
