"We have had 20+ boarders in an ED with 40 beds on many days over the last few months. Our LWBS* has gone well over 5% on some days and annualized below 1% in the years prior. Administration has been unwilling to consider smoothing the surgical schedule out because they are beholden to orthopedic revenue and don't want to upset that group despite being shown the evidence."
