My last shift

"We are a ~50 bed ER with a dedicated psychiatric and separate minor care treatment area. We have 34 main ER beds. We started the day boarding 28 patients leaving only six beds to see and treat all the main emergency room patients. We had 26 in the waiting room, waiting upwards of three hours to be seen. We were taking care of very critical patients in the hall on my last shift."
