Start with EMRA — Get involved with EMRA - the independent professional association representing EM trainees. Through EMRA and its joint membership with ACEP, you'll have opportunities to participate in resident-run committees and faculty-run sections focused on subspecialty interests while developing your leadership skills and your professional network.
Connect with your state ACEP Chapter — an independent organization with its own leadership, local advocacy, and on-ramp to national involvement.
Be part of the whole specialty coming together at ACEP's Scientific Assembly — the one week a year the entire EM community, from residents to attendings, is in the same place. EMRA holds its own meeting and events there, free to attend with no full-conference registration required.

Do I qualify for Resident Membership?

Resident Membership is available for:

Interns
Physicians participating in an ACGME-accredited emergency medicine residency program
Physicians participating in an ACGME-accredited fellowship program
Physicians in the uniformed services, while serving as general medical officers for a maximum of four years

Does my residency pay for my dues?

Many emergency medicine residency programs pay their residents' ACEP dues to ensure they have access to ACEP's resources and benefits from day one. Check whether your program — or a program you're considering — is on the list.

Does my residency pay for PEERprep?

Many programs also cover PEERprep for Programs to support board certification readiness. Check the list here.

How much is Resident Membership?
