ABEM recently transitioned to a new physician portal, MyABEM, and some physicians experienced account access challenges during the transition. ABEM has since expanded its customer service capacity, and ACEP is sharing information to help members navigate current processes and timelines.
What ACEP Members Should Know
- Activating Your MyABEM Account: Physicians who have not yet signed into the MyABEM system may need to reactivate their accounts. To activate your profile, contact 517-332-4800, select option 9, and request “MyABEM Activation.”
- Certification Verifications: If you need verification of credentials for your hospital, health system, and/or employer, contact verify@abem.org.
- Grace Period for Requirements Due in 2025: ABEM has extended the grace period for physicians with requirements originally due December 31, 2025, through April 1, 2026, at 11:59 pm ET, to ensure physicians are not disadvantaged by portal downtime. For questions, contact staycertified@abem.org.
