This presentation provides a targeted threat assessment for medical teams supporting operations during the FIFA World Cup, with an emphasis on the unique security risks associated with large-scale international mass gatherings. It will explore credible threat vectors including terrorism, coordinated attacks, lone-actor violence, crowd surge incidents, and infrastructure disruption, as well as the evolving risk of drone incursions and cyber-physical attacks impacting stadium operations. From a tactical medical perspective, the discussion will focus on how these threats translate into operational challenges for prehospital providers.

The goal is to equip tactical medical physicians with a risk-informed framework to support planning, training, and real-time decision-making in a complex, high-visibility security environment.
