
Dr. Christina Shenvi is a tenured professor of emergency medicine at the University of North Carolina, where her work spans clinical care, education, and leadership. She is fellowship-trained in geriatric emergency medicine and is working to improve care for patients with dementia. She is also a dedicated educator and works to build effective learning environments for physicians and trainees.
Her educational roles are extensive. She co-directs the ACEP/CORD teaching fellowship, leads a year-long faculty development program at UNC, and has served as director of both the UNC Office of Academic Excellence and the UME case-based learning program at the UNC School of Medicine. She has also served on the Geriatric ED Accreditation board of governors and as a residency associate program director. Her work in educational leadership and speaking has been recognized with multiple national teaching awards, including the ACEP Outstanding Speaker award.
Outside of academic medicine, Dr. Shenvi speaks and coaches on time management and career sustainability under her platform Time For Your Life, drawing on her longstanding interest in deliberate practice and how people do their best work.
She holds degrees from Princeton University (AB), UC Berkeley (PhD), Yale School of Medicine (MD), and UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School (MBA). Dr. Shenvi lives in Durham, NC, with her husband and four kids.
