Jennifer L. Savino, DO, FACEP, is a graduate of the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her emergency medicine residency training at Geisinger Medical Center, where she served as chief resident. She has held numerous leadership positions throughout her career, including Chair of an academic level 1 trauma center with emergency medicine residency. After having children, Dr. Savino transitioned back to community emergency medicine.
Dr. Savino previously served as President of the Pennsylvania College of Emergency Physicians (PACEP) and remains actively involved through the Government Affairs Committee and Political Action Committee. Nationally, she serves on the ACEP Council Steering Committee and has contributed to ACEP through service on Council reference committees, as well as the Elections, Tellers, and Credentials Committees.
In preparation for ACEP Council 2025, Dr. Savino, along with Drs. Tanisha Arora and Nicole Veitinger, demonstrated exceptional cross-chapter collaboration by developing an innovative shared interview process for ACEP leadership candidates representing the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Ohio chapters. By creating a unified approach to candidate interviews, the team enhanced efficiency, reduced duplication of effort, and fostered broader engagement among councilors and candidates.
The success of this initiative reflects Dr. Savino’s dedication to teamwork, collegiality, and building stronger partnerships within ACEP. Her leadership exemplifies the spirit of collaboration recognized by the ACEP Council Teamwork Award.
