Shaping the Workforce of Tomorrow

Celebrating Match Day 2024

Here's to hard work!

Every year, Match Day brings its special mix of eager anticipation and joyful celebration. ACEP welcomes all the dedicated, enthusiastic medical students who matched into our never-a-dull-moment specialty.

Your entrance into the EM Workforce will help us shape a future we all desire.

A Vision for the Future

An important part of protecting our specialty is anticipating future threats. In 2021, EM workforce projections indicated a likely oversupply of emergency physicians in 10 years.

In response, ACEP and the EM Workforce Task Force built a comprehensive plan to expand your opportunities while addressing rural challenges, residency standards, and work environment.

As we push forward with fortifying our future, the employment market is fluctuating. The changes impact our workforce projections, so ACEP is committed to monitoring recent data and adjusting strategies to stay course.
