Nominations for the 2025 Section Awards opened on June 1, 2025, with a deadline of July 15, 2025.

Submissions are now CLOSED.

In order to recognize the outstanding work of ACEP’s Sections of Membership, the Sections Subcommittee requests nominations for Section Awards. Sections are welcome to submit nominations for all the awards for which they qualify and may receive the same award multiple times.

The award categories are:

Service to Section

The Service to Section Award now features a tiered structure to ensure more equitable recognition across sections of all sizes. Up to three (3) sections will be honored each year based on the following tiers:

• Small Sections: 100–300 members
• Medium Sections: 301–700 members
• Large Sections: 701+ members
  

Criteria: (based on activities held from August 1, 2024 to July 15, 2025)

• Educational offerings
• Unique projects or avenues to provide member value

Service to College

Criteria: (based on activities held from August 1, 2024 to July 15, 2025)

• Assistance to related College committee(s) to meet objectives
• Development of a policy statement, PREP or white paper
• Product development
• Assistance to the College in meeting strategic objectives

Awards will be presented in the following two categories based on ACEP section data. No nominations are necessary.

Promoting Section Membership

This award is based on the highest percentage of free resident members enrolled in the section and overall increase in membership during the previous section year (November 1, 2023 to October 31, 2024). Sections receiving “automatic” members will not be eligible for this award.

Outstanding Newsroom Content

This award is based on the number of newsroom articles published during the previous section year (November 1, 2023 to October 31, 2024) and the quality of the content.
