Perspective

Access CDC’s full list of conditions that put your patients at risk for progression to severe COVID-19 here such as older age (now 50+ as of 12/5/22), obesity, and smoking. But did you know that some people are also at increased risk of getting very sick or dying from COVID-19 because of where they live or work or because they can't get healthcare? This includes many people from racial and ethnic minority groups, those with mental health conditions, and people with disabilities.1 Educate your patients about their risk for severe COVID-19 before they get sick.
