Choosing Wisely Champions - 2019

ACEP is collecting nominations for its third year of the Choosing Wisely Champions program, an initiative to highlight individual clinicians or teams of clinicians who are going above and beyond to advance the ideals of Choosing Wisely.

The Choosing Wisely Champions program seeks to:

• Recognize individual clinicians for their contributions to the campaign
• Inspire clinicians seeking to implement Choosing Wisely in their own practice
• Demonstrate how clinicians are driving change in health care, and
• Help clinicians learn from one another by highlighting exemplars.

The ACEP Quality & Patient Safety Committee (QPSC) is accepting nominations for the ACEP Choosing Wisely Champions from August 11, 2020 through September 14, 2020.

Nominees will be assessed on their work to develop, implement, promote, or research the adoption of Choosing Wisely in emergency care. Winners will be informed of their selection in September and will be honored at ACEP20 Unconventional during the virtual QPSC Meeting. Their names and Choosing Wisely projects will also be posted on the official Choosing Wisely website.

There are three nomination categories: individual residents, individual faculty/staff, and groups. Self-nominations are permitted.
