Erin Muckey

Erin Muckey currently serves as the VP and Chief Medical Officer at Northwell Greenwich
Village Hospital, located in Manhattan. Prior to joining Northwell, Dr. Muckey held dual
roles as Associate Chief Medical Officer and ED Medical Director at University Hospital.
She also served as an associate professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at
Rutgers–NJMS.
In these roles she led hospital-wide initiatives that improved throughput, reduced
readmissions and mortality, strengthened stroke and behavioral health pathways, and
advanced data-driven operational improvements through clinical informatics. She also
directed daily operations and strategic planning for a 107,000+ visit emergency department
and Level I Trauma Center.
Dr. Muckey is committed to developing future healthcare leaders and previously was the
Assistant Program Director for the Healthcare Administration and Leadership Fellowship at
Rutgers_NJMS. She is a recognized national speaker on hospital operations, systems-based care, and change management.
She completed her undergraduate education at Princeton University and earned her
MD/MBA at Columbia University. She trained in Emergency Medicine at NYU Langone
Health/Bellevue Hospital Center, where she served as chief resident. Prior to her clinical
career, she worked in healthcare strategy consulting at Trinity Partners, advising life
sciences and healthcare organizations. She continues to apply her clinical and operational
experiences to advance quality, performance, and patient-centered care.
