Caitlyn Magargee, DO
Chair-Elect
UTHSCSA
As a passionate and dedicated emergency physician, I am eager to contribute to the future of our specialty by serving as Chair-Elect of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) Young Physicians Section (YPS). My commitment to our field extends beyond the clinical setting; I am deeply invested in shaping the policies and practices that guide our profession. By securing a seat at the table where these critical decisions are made, I aim to ensure that the voices of young physicians are heard and valued. I have been driven by a desire to give back to the specialty that has given me so much. Serving in this role would allow me to contribute to the education and advocacy efforts that are vital to the continued growth and success of emergency medicine. I am particularly passionate about creating opportunities for young physicians to develop their skills, expand their knowledge, and advocate for the issues that matter most to our community. Moreover, I view this position as an essential step in my journey toward national leadership in emergency medicine. I am committed to building a strong foundation with the support and guidance of experienced mentors who have paved the way before me. By collaborating with and learning from these leaders, I am confident that I can contribute meaningfully to our organization and help shape the future of emergency medicine for years to come. I am excited about the opportunity to serve as Chair-Elect and to work alongside my colleagues to advance the goals of the ACEP YPS. Together, we can make a lasting impact on our specialty and ensure that the next generation of emergency physicians is equipped to face the challenges ahead.
