Ongoing Activities of the QIPS Section

QIPS Section Operational Guidelines - We are working on updating these to be consistent with our current practice and structure. Current guidelines are available for review on the QIPS website.  If you have any suggestions that you would like to see incorporated into the operational guidelines, feel free to forward them to Carolyn Holland, MD, MEd. In the next newsletter, there will be a link to the proposed changes and those changes will be voted on at the QIPS meeting at ACEP 2019 in Denver.

Logo Update – A new logo was selected at the QIPS Section meeting at ACEP 2018 in San Diego.  It has been handed off to the marketing folks to polish it up and make it consistent with the other section logos.  Look for the official unveiling at ACEP 2019 – including some logo items available for purchase.

White Papers - The QIPS section is currently work is to develop 2 white papers: Practical Education Standards and Didactical Education Standards.  More than 30 volunteers have expressed interest in participating and Annals has expressed interest in publishing white papers when done.  We expect that both groups will have drafts completed and ready for presentation at Scientific Assembly in 2019.

Updating the QIPS website – As the QIPS leadership team works to update the website, we would love to hear from you.  What do you want or need to see on the website?  Suggestions for content, format or anything else related to the website can be sent to Ramana Feeser, MD.
