Stanley C. Thompson,


Dr. Thompson is the Chief Clinical Officer with TeamHealth's Lifepoint Group where he oversees the 61 contracts in emergency medicine, hospital medicine and anesthesia within the Lifepoint Health system across the country. Dr. Thompson also serves as the chair of Teamhealth’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee. He is also the medical director of the Northwest Mississippi Community College Paramedic Program, located in Senatobia, Mississippi, FTS Ambulance Service, Abundant Care Ambulance Service and Covenant Ambulance Service both in Memphis, TN.

Dr. Thompson earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis, Tennessee, and completed his residency in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Emergency Medicine. Additionally, Dr. Thompson earned his Master's in Healthcare Administration at Penn State University.

As an active member of his medical community, Dr. Thompson serves as Past Chief of Staff at Baptist Hospital-Desoto in Southaven, Mississippi; as Physician Chair of the System ED Committee for Baptist Memorial Healthcare Corporation; and also served on the Metro Board of Directors for Baptist Memorial Healthcare Corporation. Dr. Thompson is also very active in his church, One Accord Ministries where he serves as Chief Operating Officer, and Chairman of the Board.
