Hello, Section of Wilderness Medicine.

For all of you that were able to attend our meeting in Philadelphia, thank you! We had a wonderful meeting where we gathered to talk about the intersection of wilderness medicine and ACEP. We heard from esteemed Linda Keyes who spoke to us about “Wilderness as Medicine for Emergency Physicians.” Additionally, we elected Marc Cassone as our Secretary. We even had a break from all the education to climb at a local indoor rock-climbing gym.

As we look forward to our next meeting in Las Vegas, we are hoping to have an event in which we are able to get together outside. If you have any suggestions that are easy access from the conference, please let me know. We are also looking for a speaker to provide a short educational session during our Section Meeting. If you are interested in running for Secretary, Chair-Elect, or Councilor, stay tuned closer to the meeting to throw your name in the hat.
