ACEP integration Committee
Your ACEP leadership is always looking for ways to improve on communication between the various research entities that constitute our modern ACEP organization. One example of this effort is the Integration Committee, Chaired by James Paxton, MD MBA FACEP. The Integration Committee was formed in January 2021 with the goal of bringing together leaders of the various academic / research entities within ACEP to identify ways in which ACEP groups could maximize collaboration and synergy to support ACEP’s academic and research missions. This committee meets quarterly to identify ways in which the various research-relevant entities can collaborate in support of our organization’s academic contributions to the specialty. Leaders within ACEP regularly participate in these meetings, including representatives from the ACEP Research Committee, Emergency Medicine Foundation (EMF), the Emergency Medicine Basic Research Skills (EMBRS) course, RSI Section, the Research Forum, JACEP, the Annals of Emergency Medicine, and the ACEP Board of Directors. The goal of the Integration Committee is improved collaboration and communication between the various entities that represent research interests within ACEP.
