Danielle Hart, MD, MACM

Senior Module Editor, PEERcert+ Trauma and Bleeding

Danielle Hart, MD, MACM, has served as the senior module editor for PEERcert+ Trauma and Bleeding since 2021. Dr. Hart is currently the program director of the emergency medicine residency program and the codirector of the Simulation and Education Fellowship at Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She is also an associate professor of emergency medicine at the University of Minnesota Medical School. Dr. Hart earned her doctor of medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (currently known as Rutgers School of Biomedical and Health Sciences), and she completed her masters in academic medicine degree through the University of Southern California. She completed her residency and simulation fellowship at HCMC. Dr. Hart subsequently designed and opened HCMC's first Interdisciplinary Simulation and Education Center, and she started HCMC's first Simulation and Medical Education Fellowship.

In addition to PEER, Dr. Hart has been the question editor for Harwood-Nuss’ Clinical Practice of Emergency Medicine textbook since 2019, and she is an associate editor for the Western Journal of Emergency Medicine’s Special Issue in Educational Research and Practice. Dr. Hart was also the editor of the Oral Board and Simulation Cases for the Council of Residency Directors in Emergency Medicine (CORD). Dr. Hart has served on the CORD Board of Directors and in other leadership positions, has authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications, and has lectured nationally and internationally.
