The PEER Challenge is an annual single elimination tournament where residency programs face off in a showdown of clinical knowledge. This year's event took place live at ACEP Park in the Exhibit Hall at ACEP26.

The semi-finals were hosted by Michael McCrea, MD, FACEP, and the finals were hosted by Matthew Stull, MD, FACEP. Thank you to our hosts for bringing levity to an otherwise intense competition.

In the semi-finals, UT Southwestern at Dallas beat Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia to advance to the finals, while Florida State University at Sarasota beat Jefferson Health Northeast to advance to the finals.

Congratulations to the members of the UT Southwestern team — Nicolas Ronkar, MD; Keith Weissman, MD; Anna Rossini, MD; and Garrett Mamikunian, MD — and to their program director Dustin Williams, MD; associate program director Jedidiah Leaf, MD; and assistant program directors Samual Parnell, MD; Melissa Smith, MD; and Brian Milman, MD. As the grand prize winners, UT Southwestern will receive a full year of complimentary PEER for Programs for the 2027-28 academic year.
