John Misdary MD, FACEP, FAAEM, FAAP - Microsite Editor
Dr. Misdary is a practicing Emergency Medicine and Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician with over a decade of clinical experience and currently in private practice in Tampa, FL. He has been the Chair of Pediatric Emergency Medicine section for Florida College of Emergency Physicians since 2014 and previously was Secretary of the ACEP Pediatric Emergency Medicine section in 2011-12.
Dr Misdary completed his medical education at the combined seven year BS/MD program through NEOMED in Ohio. After taking a year for missionary work in Atlanta he matched into an Internal Medicine residency at Rutgers University Newark. He made a career change and then matched into an Emergency Medicine Residency at the University of Florida Gainesville becoming a member of its inaugural class. He completed his fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Emory University. Dr Misdary was an Assistant Professor in both Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine at the University of Kentucky, Emory University, and University of Central Florida before joining the Excelis Medical Associates in private practice. Dr. Misdary’s favorite PEM resource are PEM Guides, and he always has a snack in his pocket.
Duties:
- hall post and coordinate expert content to the microsite under the direction of the Chair-elect/Lead Microsite Editor and Chair.
- Each co-editor will be assigned a subject-matter column based on their expertise.
This position has a two-year term.
