Dr. Griggs is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Atrium Health's Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. He has published research and education on the opioid crisis and responsible pain management in the emergency department. He has lectured extensively on opioids and pain management, and is a coinvestigator on several grants related to responsible opioid prescribing and injury prevention.
