Michael Phillips is an Assistant Professor of Medicine the Department of Emergency Medicine at The Ohio State University, where he serves as core faculty in the EM/IM program. He graduated from West Virginia University School of Medicine in 2020 and subsequently completed dual training in both emergency medicine and internal medicine at Louisiana State University. He has an interest in increasing educational opportunities for both residents and medical students in observation medicine as well as the role of the observation unit and dual trained physicians in managing boarding patients in the emergency department.
