Resident and Fellow Elections

Do you know a resident or fellow who wants to have fun, work with a great team, and guide the future of Geriatric Emergency Medicine? Apply to join the Geriatric Emergency Medicine Section board as a resident or fellow member. Nominations close on August 31, 2023.

One resident (someone who has completed medical school and is currently or about to start an Emergency Medicine training program) and one fellow (someone who, at the time of the ACEP annual meeting (October 9-12, 2023) will have completed at least 2 years of residency training and is pursing or about to pursue an advanced training program/fellowship with a geriatric focus) will be chosen to join the GEMS board and attend the ACEP GEMS meeting. 

The GEMS board meets monthly on the third Monday of each month for an hour and designs educational programming for our members (ACEP embedded-conferences, webinars, and newsletters) as well as interfaces with the Geriatric Emergency Department Accreditation board and other national organizations promoting Geri EM. 

This is a great opportunity to:

• Meet Geri EM advocates from around the world
• Work on exciting projects to advance Geri EM education and implementation
• Write an article for EMRA or GEMS section letter
• Get involved in a growing movement!
