Councillor

Kylie Klemann, MD, MPH, MBA, is the councilor for the ACEP Disaster Medicine Section, having previously served as the alternate councilor for 2 years. As an assistant professor of emergency medicine at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, she provides clinical support at Regional One Health, the sole Level One Trauma Center within 150 miles, serving the metro Memphis area and the mid-South.

Dr. Klemann received her doctor of medicine degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, where she also earned her master’s degree in public health. She completed her residency at IUEM in Indianapolis. She also completed a fellowship in operational and disaster medicine at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. 

Her research on civilian and military collaboration has been published in Military Medicine, and she has presented at the World Association of Disaster and Emergency Medicine Congress. As an educator, Dr. Klemann is a trainer for FEMA Hospital Emergency Response Training for Mass Casualty Incidents courses and has a strong history of educational collaboration with health care coalitions.
