Quality Improvement Grant Projects

The Emergency Quality (E-QUAL) Network is designed to accelerate knowledge translation from notion to implementation through dissemination of evidence-based practices in a low-burden, high-impact way.

E-QUAL Network Participants

Over 1,400 Emergency Departments (EDs) and 32,500 emergency clinicians have joined E-QUAL to implement evidence-based recommendations for high quality emergency care.

Over 30% of participating EDs are community-based or rural and represent a unique opportunity to use implementation science to transform emergency medicine.

About The E-QUAL Network

The CMS-vetted E-QUAL Network leverages a successful platform to drive quality improvement learning collaboratives that help clinicians focus on “big” problems, develop local capacity for quality improvement, and create momentum for practice transformation.

Quality Improvement Project Timeline

E-QUAL is a custom, virtual platform that allows EDs to participate in self-paced, local Quality Improvement (QI) projects. A QI collaborative is completed in a year to give the ED time to complete the action items and track changes based on the interventions.
