I am honored to apply for the position of Alternate Councillor for the Wilderness Medicine Section of ACEP. If chosen, I will prioritize representing the section's collective goals and interests. I will advocate for wilderness medicine and focus on communication between the section and board for cohesive collaboration. My goal is to ensure exceptional representation and highlight the importance of wilderness medicine, ultimately advancing this significant subspecialty.

She is a faculty member at the Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine and a medical provider for the National Disaster Medical System's DMAT FL4. Dr. Mathew's leadership extends to her roles with the United States Forestry Service as the Local Emergency Medical Advisor, and she actively contributes to the Wilderness Medical Society's Global Health, Disaster, and Humanitarian Committee.
