Senior Manager of Accreditation Programs

BASIC FUNCTION

Provide high-level operational oversight to ensure all accreditation activities run efficiently and consistently. This role is responsible for leading quality assurance and continuous improvement efforts, supervising program managers, and aligning daily operations with organizational goals. The Senior Manager will collaborate with the director to implement strategic initiatives, support the development and monitoring of program budgets, and identify marketing and outreach opportunities to expand program visibility and engagement. By coordinating resources, guiding staff, and advancing key objectives, this position will play a central role in driving program growth and performance

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Provide operational oversight to ensure accreditation programs function efficiently and consistently.

  2. Lead and maintain quality assurance and continuous improvement processes across all accreditation activities.

  3. Supervise and support program managers, including performance oversight and professional development.

  4. Coordinate marketing and outreach opportunities to enhance program visibility, growth, and engagement.

  5. Collaborate with the director to plan and implement strategic initiatives that advance accreditation goals.

  6. Assist in the development, monitoring, and management of program budgets and resource allocation.

  7. Drive program performance by setting priorities, coordinating workflows, and ensuring timely execution of initiatives.

  8. Work closely with the various program Boards of Governors to align operations with governance priorities and expectations.

  9. Support accreditation programs in the seeking, development, and implementation of various grant funding opportunities.

  10. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Director of EMS, Disaster Medicine, and Accreditation

Supervises:

GEDA Program Manager, PACED Accreditation Manager, Ultrasound Accreditation Manager, EDAc Program Manager, Accreditation Support Staff

Internal Contacts:

All staff

External Contacts:

Accreditation stakeholder organizations, ACEP members, emergency department and hospital staff, staff from other associations and organizations working in the geriatric field

Required Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor's degree with major in public health, community health sciences, health policy and management, or other social sciences preferred.

  2. Five years of comparable experience in a project management role.

  3. Organized, attentive to detail, highly self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  4. Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.

  5. Desire to make a difference in the lives of seniors.

Other Desired Qualifications

  1. Experience with accreditation programs.

  2. Experience with marketing and meeting planning.

  3. Familiarity with spreadsheet software.

  4. Experience in the health care field.

  5. Experience in an emergency department.
