Creative Services Manager




Manage the creative, production and publishing processes for College marketing/advertising materials and other products in all platforms, including print and electronic.

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Initiate, coordinate, and manage the creative, production and publishing process for all assigned projects.

  2. Provide creative, production and publishing services and assistance to the College through expert advice and consultation.

  3. Manage and initiate schedules, processes, costs and delivery for all assigned projects.

  4. Manage projects in compliance with budget parameters and ACEP graphic standards.

  5. Oversee pre-publishing functions, including creation of page layouts and graphics.

  6. Run project-proofing cycles and release of publishing files. Create, locate or commission graphics acceptable to the overall vision of the project.

  7. Prepare project specifications for competitive bidding by service providers.  Select service providers according to capabilities, project specifications and needs of the College. Manage vendors to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance to scheduled delivery dates.

  8. Manage publishing schedules for all projects.

  9. Initiate purchasing paperwork and approve invoices as appropriate.

  10. Coordinate graphic standards with Communications team to ensure projects in all digital and print communication channels have brand consistency and quality as defined in the ACEP Style Guide.

  11. Attend business and professional continuing education meetings as assigned.

  12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Marketing, Communications, Educational Products, Educational Meetings, and all other staff content developers

External Contacts:

Publishing service providers

Required Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, Graphic Arts or equivalent related experience.

  2. Five years’ experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office products.

  3. Five years’ experience in art direction, graphic design, and project production management

  4. Five years’ direct marketing experience

  5. Familiarity with, JIRA or other project management software

  6. A broad portfolio that demonstrates expertise across a range of content formats (print ads, direct mail, brochures/catalogs, digital ads, email graphics, large scale/format graphics, etc.)

  7. A strategic mindset, with a demonstrated ability to understand the core goal of a project and deliver creative solutions

  8. Organized and efficient multitasker, able to successfully handle multiple high-pressure deadlines

  9. Understanding of marketing and branding concepts, and ongoing knowledge of the latest trends and best practices in graphics and design

  10. Excellent time management and project management skills, with a strong attention to detail from concept development through production

  11. Superior communication skills, the ability to be tactful, diplomatic, and clear
