Corporate Support Manager

BASIC FUNCTION

Work with the Business Development Director, Manager, consultants, and Exhibits staff to support efforts to raise corporate support, grants, and other contributions for ACEP, EMF, and managed organizations

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Develop proposals to corporate funding sources and assist director by providing necessary follow-up on proposal submissions and requirements.

  2. Monitor contract execution by both parties.

  3. Maintain contract database and files for ACEP and EMF.

  4. Track and monitor progress of corporate solicitations, progress toward fundraising goals, and reconcile both with the Finance Department’s records.

  5. Draft corporate support contracts, and track progress toward full execution of contracts.

  6. Request invoices and monitor invoice payments from funding supporters.

  7. Track, monitor, and implement corporate contract deliverables for ACEP to ensure that all benefits and deliverables are fulfilled to meet each supporter’s expectations and the contractual obligations. 

  8. Maintain and update ACEP, and EMF, Corporate and Grants Report for accounting of revenue with finance department.

  9. Assist with the coordination of the annual ACEP Partner’s Collaborative meeting.

  10. Assist Development staff, contractors, and Exhibits Manager in developing and maintaining an up-to-date corporate and exhibit support opportunities overview and catalog.

  11. Maintain knowledge of ACEP’s priorities and current projects.

  12. Provide support to committees and sections as assigned.

  13. Attend business and educational meetings as required.

  14. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Reports to:

Business Development Director

Internal Contacts:

Most ACEP departments; section staff liaisons; EMF staff

External Contacts:

Corporate marketing directors/VPs and product managers, Foundation staff, ACEP leaders and members

Required Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or equivalent related experience.

  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in writing corporate funding proposals.

  3. Minimum of 3 years of corporate account management experience in a development position.

  4. Computer skills including online research, spreadsheets and word processing.

Other Desired Qualifications

  1. Experience in a health care or medical field.

  2. Experience in a business or professional association.

  3. Strong communication skills with internal and external constituents.

  4. Ability to work well under deadline pressure.

  5. Ability to accommodate shifting priorities.
