BASIC FUNCTION

Enhance ACEP’s educational activities by creating multimedia materials that effectively communicate and advance educational initiatives. Generate, edit, and upload content for enhancing ACEP’s digital presence and outreach.

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Creates engaging and effective multimedia resources to visually explain potentially complex topics.

  2. Creates and edits videos reinforcing educational concepts and takeaways as well as promotional videos for upcoming educational events and other activities.

  3. Creates animations, illustrations, and videos for use in products, on social media, and other outlets.

  4. Creates infographics for social media, presentations, and concept reinforcement.

  5. Creates data visualization assets.

  6. Designs and implements project plans for the development of new assets.

  7. Works with vendors to create new assets.

  8. Analyzes and optimizes current multimedia delivery channels at ACEP.

  9. Assists with on-site support and post-production of ACEP’s educational event recordings including conferences, meetings, and seminars.

  10. Assists with scheduling, post-production, and creation of derivative materials for ACEP webinars.

  11. Assists with the scheduling, post-production, and delivery of ACEP’s growing podcast network.

  12. Helps maintain the YouTube channel and other social media channels to promote articles, videos, podcasts, and slideshows.

  13. Maintains project documentation, including permissions and other reporting.

  14. Develops and produces other new assets as directed.

  15. Monitors trends in health care education through regular review of pertinent literature, maintains contacts with a variety of healthcare organizations, maintain awareness of direct competitors in the emergency medicine CME arena, and regularly share with teammates new multimedia design concepts and other ideas.

  16. Serves as advisor and supports multimedia development by other staff across the College.

  17. Performs other duties as assigned.

  18. Some travel may be required.

Required Education and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in fine arts, marketing, graphic design or related field

  2. Three years’ experience in multimedia design

  3. Demonstrated video production and editing skills

  4. Excellent visual communication skills to present ideas and information

  5. Exceptional creative flair and innovative approach to design projects

  6. Experience working with topic experts to develop assets

  7. Demonstrated experience applying multimedia best practices

  8. Basic project management and planning skills

  9. Demonstrated experience with video-editing software and other multimedia design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office

  10. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively

Other Desired Qualifications 

  1. HTML, CSS, and other web design experience

  2. Data visualization experience

  3. Knowledge of 508 compliance

  4. eBook design experience

  5. Experience working with science, healthcare, or medical content

  6. Experience working with Content Management Systems

  7. Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics CRM

  8. Experience working with Learning Management Systems
