Assist the GEDA Program Manager with administrative efforts of the Geriatric Emergency Department Accreditation (GEDA) program. Support direct
Work with Program Manager on implementation of accreditation renewal plan.
Communicate with EDs/applications ready for renewal.
Support applicant organizations at any stage of the application process.
Coordinate with IT for website updates and to refine the application process.
Document and conduct appropriate follow-up of relevant changes reported by accredited organizations as outlined in the terms and conditions.
Provide support to GEDA reviewers, assign reviewers to applications, coordinating site visits.
Accreditation letter creation and mailings, custom site improvement letter creation (includes retrieving notes from BOG) and mail, printing off certificates, etc.
Provisional Accreditation tracking: Maintain spreadsheet used to track sites with provisional accreditation.
Communication with the accredited site in the form of initial notification, reminder follow-ups, and receiving the information to be presented to the GEDA BOG.
Evolution of renewing GEDs coordination. Includes retrieving initial review notes and providing reviewers with a background on improvement suggestions sent with initial accreditation or provisional accreditations.
Send reminders to sites/provisional with required updates.
Field in-coming “sales” or “payment” calls.
Assist with open invoice report (bill collecting).
Process applications and oversee new ED account set up in CRM.
Scheduling of virtual or in-person site visits and required review calls with sites and reviewers, building out agendas for such meetings.
Schedule BOG, Advisory Board, and other partner meetings take meeting minutes.
Scientific Assembly and Other Conferences
ACEP Scientific Assembly booth coordination of GEDA and possibly other accreditation programs.
Assist with ACEP SA pre-conference details determined by Program Manager.
Schedule and book conference booths and speaker engagements on behalf of Program Manager or any GEDA BoG member/Ambassador.
Schedule both annual BoG meeting and Advisory board meeting, attend, and take notes.
Submit pre-conference CME application.
Manage lead input. Maintain lead spreadsheets and uploads into CRM. This includes working with member services to make sure the hospital/ED is set up in CRM, so marketing efforts can be seamless.
Outreach or research on potential new partners.
Other projects could include help with upgrading sites already accredited.
Help with other accreditation programs as needed.
GEDA Program Manager
GED stakeholder organizations, ACEP members, emergency department and
Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, communications, education, healthcare, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Three years project management related experience
Effective communications with a high-level of accuracy and ability to meet deadlines
Proficiency with web content management systems, Microsoft products, and databases
Ability to travel as required. Anticipate 1-2 times per year from 2 to 4 days duration
Experience with accreditation programs
Experience with marketing and meeting planning
Familiarity with spreadsheet software
Experience in the health care field
Experience in an emergency department
