Provide leadership, direction, oversight, and administration of aspects of EMRA staff and activities to ensure accomplishment of EMRA’s objectives and goals. Facilitate operational processes and coordinate the activities of EMRA Committees, liaisons, and other volunteer leaders. Manage activities of EMRA’s governing body. Lead the strategy and execution of EMRA projects and non-dues revenue generation. Implement policies and procedures set by the Executive Director.
Serve as Acting Executive Director in the absence of the Executive Director.
Work closely with EMRA Executive Director to fulfill objectives and tasks in the strategic plan.
Implement the processes and approaches to achieve and update the strategic plan with guidance from the Executive Director.
Collaborate and contribute to the budgeting process.
Provide a strong day-to-day leadership presence and support an open-door policy among EMRA and ACEP staff.
Manage and direct aspects of day-to-day operations and processes of the organization while monitoring and providing information, statistics and status of projects, programs and membership.
Develop and execute the strategy to manage and execute activities of EMRA’s governing body, the EMRA Representative Council, including managing voting credentials, resolution submission, and preparation of accurate minutes. Provide support for Conference Committees including Tellers and Credentials and Reference Committee. Ensure accurate updated governing documents are filed and posted on the website in a timely manner. Maintain confidentiality on vote counts for Board elections.
Plan, direct and evaluate EMRA’s annual awards and recognition programs, including EMRA’s 25 Under 45 campaign. Support the EMRA Awards Chair to determine award rubrics, selection of awardees, awardee notification and recognition.
Manage and evaluate EMRA Committee operations including supporting development and evaluation of annual objectives and programming, coordination of appointments, leader orientation and the preparation of regular reports to the EMRA Board of Directors. Support the EMRA Health Policy Academy.
Develop a special event and marketing strategy to execute a safe and effective EMRA MedWar to ensure the event meets member needs and provides a challenging and positive clinical and event experience. Maintain confidentiality of member medical conditions. Ensure the event adheres to the EMRA brand. Effectively recruit and manage teams and volunteers.
Develop and execute a multi-channel non-dues revenue generation strategy including sponsorship, exhibit sales and development of corporate prospectus. Ensure sponsor benefits are delivered. Revenue goals are met.
Develop and execute a strategy to deliver a successful EMRA Job & Fellowship Fair and EMRA Residency Program Fair that meets revenue goals and ensures a positive experience for both members and exhibitors. Maximize the a2z exhibit system to ensure revenue goals are met and manage the back-end system. Maintain confidentiality of sponsor credit card information and contractual commitments.
Manage EMRA’s participation in the collaborative joint-booth program with other emergency medicine organizations. As needed by the coalition, manage the over-arching project and coordinate EMRA’s role. Represent EMRA at other national and regional meetings as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
