Level Up Your Skills with the
ACEP/CORD Teaching Fellowship

Transform Your Teaching with the ACEP/CORD Teaching Fellowship! Dive into an intensive two-phase educational journey tailored for emergency physicians and fellows eager to elevate their skills as educators. Discover invaluable strategies and resources to revolutionize the education of residents, medical students, and peers within the medical community.

Why Choose the ACEP/CORD Teaching Fellowship?

  1. Comprehensive Curriculum: The teaching fellowship offers a dynamic and comprehensive curriculum spread across two intensive sessions, with a mentored project bridging the two phases. You'll delve into curricular design, learning theories, teaching in different contexts, medical student and resident education leadership, multimedia educational technology, and more.
  2. Exceptional Leadership and Mentorship: Learn from distinguished educators who bring decades of expertise in medical education. Our faculty are not just teachers; they are pioneering leaders who have shaped the landscape of emergency medicine education.
  3. Build a Professional Network: Join a vibrant community of like-minded professionals. Our fellowship fosters a network of participants committed to each other’s professional growth and success. This community continues to thrive well beyond the fellowship, offering ongoing opportunities for collaboration and support. Your teaching fellowship classmates are the people you will continue to run into at conferences for the rest of your career!
  4. Active Learning and Practice: Experience active learning throughout the sessions and also through participant presentations. During Phase 1, you will prepare and present a “microteaching” topic. During Phase 2, you will present an elevator pitch and an ePoster-style presentation of your project.
  5. Career Advancement: Develop your niche within emergency medicine, enhancing skills in negotiations and communication, and developing the leadership and communication skills you will need during Phase 2. All the sessions are designed to prepare you for a successful career in emergency medicine education.
  6. Limited Enrollment: To maintain a high quality of interaction and personalized learning, we limit the number of participants. Classes fill quickly on a first-come, first-served basis, ensuring a dedicated and focused learning environment.
