Review of Telehealth Literature Whitepaper

This whitepaper involved a review of the existing literature on telehealth to help the section determine if there was sufficient information to help develop practice guidelines for emergency telehealth and to determine future research needs. The authors reviewed 480 articles out of more than 13,000 unique articles that were searched covering 19 different subject areas. The articles reviewed were up to September 2016, when the work on the whitepaper began.
