Family-Friendly Activities*

Kickoff Party at the Philadelphia Convention Center

  • Monday, October 9, 7:30 – 11:00 pm
  • Children are welcome to explore with their parents, enjoy snacks specifically designed for kids’ tastes, music, dancing, and activities for families of all ages.

Exhibit Hall

  • Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Social Events

  • October 8 - Sunday Night Football Watch Party
  • October 10 - Trivia Night
  • October 11 - Movie Night

We'd love to welcome your guests. Please purchase a $75 guest pass to access ACEP23 events.

*Adult supervision required for everyone under 18

Family and Spouse Meet-Ups

Make plans with other families and spouses for tours, dinners and more. The designated meet-up location will be the Pennsylvania Convention Center, Registration Lobby (Broad St. entrance). Look for the large Family/Spouse Meet-Up sign to meet and go to events as a group. Tickets and transportation will be on own

Family

Suggested activities for each day, meet-up at 10 am:

Oct 9: Visit the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The museum is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Note: the museum is part of the Art Museum Reciprocal Network (AMRN) if you are a member at your home museum you may qualify for a discount. Children 18 and under are free.

Oct 10: Tour the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall (Independence Hall is accessible for ticketed timed tours only get your tickets early). Tickets for Independence Hall

Oct. 11: Explore the Please Touch Museum, a children’s museum (recommended by many ACEP members as a must-do for families). Closed on Tuesdays. Note: The museum is part of the Association of Children's Museums, if you are a member at your home museum you may qualify for a discount. 

Spouse

Suggested activities.

Oct. 9: Meet up with other spouses at 9:30 am and plan brunch and an afternoon museum tour.

Oct. 10: Join other spouses at 10:30 am to plan lunch and decide on a historical tour of Philadelphia. Meet up at 3 pm for cocktails

Oct. 11: Meet at 11 am and plan lunch and the rest of your afternoon to enjoy Philadelphia before going home

Guest Courses - NEW this year

Learning isn't just for the attendees at ACEP23. This year, guests at ACEP23 can now experience the education firsthand. They are invited to attend these tailored courses, curated just for them. But these captivating sessions aren't exclusively for guests – they're also open to registered attendees. (Guest or attendee badge required for entry). Courses are not available for CME.

Child Care Opportunities

Childcare is available for children 6 months to 12 years old with special age-oriented activities planned at the Philadelphia Marriott.

Advance registration is required, and reservations are due by Friday, September 8, 2023. All families MUST pre-register for childcare by this date to staff accordingly. Drop-in accommodations will not be available.

A mother's room for nursing moms will be available at the Philadelphia Convention Center and the Philadelphia Marriott.
