This two-part session allows participants to view a pre-recorded informational session and to attend a live discussion followed by Q & A with leading experts in pain and addiction emergency care. Hear from the members of the PACED Board of Governors as they share best practices in providing high-quality effective pain management, improving patient safety, and ending the harms and mortality associated with opioid use. Further, experts will discuss essential departmental enhancements such as education, tools, and algorithms to provide the most up-to-date evidence-based care for ED pain and addiction management. The session will also include helpful recommendations for achieving PACED accreditation.

Are you interested in learning about Age-Friendly Health Systems and how it aligns with Geriatric Emergency Department Accreditation (GEDA)? Are you interested in implementing initiatives to improve care for geriatric patients in your emergency department? This pre-conference course is for you! Using the 4M framework for Age-Friendly Health Systems, this course will provide actionable information for improving geriatric emergency care for individual clinicians and department leaders. Participation in this pre-conference will meet the education requirements for geriatric ED accreditation.

The eleven-week distance learning component of the program will begin on July 7, 2021, and the complete program will conclude with a face-to-face meeting of the registrants and faculty at ACEP21.
