Immune Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (iTTP) is a rare, life-threatening, medical emergency characterized by severe ADAMTS13 deficiency, uncontrolled microvascular thrombosis and rapid multi-organ ischemia. iTTP requires immediate recognition and intervention but presents significant diagnostic and therapeutic challenges. Emergency physicians play a critical front-line role in early recognition.
This interactive symposium brings together emergency medicine and hematology expertise to address the critical challenge of iTTP management in acute care settings. This session will equip emergency medicine physicians with practical tools for rapid iTTP recognition, appropriate diagnostic workup, evidence-based early intervention strategies, and recent updates in the therapeutic landscape.
