Theater Information
Acute Bacterial Skin and Skin Structure Infections (ABSSSI) are a group of bacterial infections that are commonly seen in the emergency department. The burden of these infections is significant to patients, healthcare providers, and the community. Due to the variety of symptoms, severity, and etiology associated with ABSSSIs the sites of care and types of therapy modalities may differ significantly from patient to patient. Strategies for identifying patients appropriate for particular levels of care may be valuable for clinicians in an emergency department setting.
