Tobias Kummer

MD, FACEP, FAIUM

Dr. Kummer is the current Emergency Ultrasound Director at Mayo Clinic, Rochester. He completed his Emergency Medicine residency and Ultrasound fellowship training at Brown University.

His work focuses on ultrasound-guided procedures and advanced ultrasound techniques, such as contrast-enhanced ultrasound in trauma and acute surgical care. He is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine.

As an active member of several emergency medicine and ultrasound societies, he is an invited speaker on contrast-enhanced and acute care musculoskeletal ultrasound. In addition, Dr. Kummer is the current chair of the AIUM Point-of-Care ultrasound community.
