Performing emergency procedures on sick infants and children can be stressful and frustrating. In this hands-on lab, you will be given the opportunity to gain practice in a number of life-saving procedures. These include intraosseous line placement, umbilical vein catheters, pediatric chest tubes, and advanced airway management techniques related to needle cricothyrotomy and open surgical cricothyrotomy.
Limited to 40 registrants.
Keeping a finger on the Pulse of Pediatric Emergency Medicine

Emergency physicians, emergency nurses, pediatricians, pediatric hospitalists, family medicine physicians, or anyone caring for a pediatric patient in an urgent/emergent environment wishing to brush up on their knowledge of the care of children should join ACEP and AAP for the co-sponsored PEM Essentials. This pre-conference event features fast-moving, 30-minute sessions, in a comprehensive one-day course on pediatric emergency medicine.
