Erik K. Nordquist, MD, FACEP, has served as a senior content editor for PEERprep for Physicians and PEERprep for Programs since 2018 and as a content contributor on the PEER Editorial Board since 2015. Dr. Nordquist is currently an associate professor and associate residency program director in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso. He earned his doctor of medicine degree from the University of Chicago, and he completed his residency training at Cook County Hospital Emergency Medicine Residency Program in Chicago, Illinois. Following residency, he served as faculty at Cook County Hospital until 2016. His areas of academic interest include medical education and airway management, and he served as the chair of the Airway Interest Group for the Society of Academic Emergency Medicine. Dr. Nordquist is also coeditor of a book entitled Atlas of Clinical Emergency Medicine.
