ConCert Exam Changes

Changes to the ABEM ConCert Exam

Due to the ongoing pandemic, ABEM has made significant changes to the ConCert Exam, including canceling the spring exam. The ConCert Exam is now being offered online in both the summer (July 27 - August 16) and fall (November 2-22). In 2021 and 2022, the exam will be held in the spring and fall.

Exam dates: Summer 2020: July 27 - August 16; Fall 2020: November 2-22. If you registered for the spring exam and have not requested a refund, you do not need to register again or schedule an exam time. ABEM will send instructions on how to access the exam.

Certification has been extended by 6 months, until June 30, 2021, if your certification was set to expire at the end of this year.

The exam will include 190 multiple-choice questions.

Only 30 extra minutes will be granted to take the exam.

If you are in the last five (5) years of certification, you can take the ConCert Exam to recertify until 2022; after 2022, you must use MyEMCert to renew certification.
