Section Committees - Clinical/Quality

MISSION: To create general guidelines for efforts regarding CLINICAL CARE/QUALITY as they pertain to improving emergency care for children to guide the Pediatric Section of ACEP.

VISION: The Section will serve as a useful resource to help its members provide and promote evidenced-based emergency care for children.

GOALS: The Section will provide and promote up-to-date information and evidenced-based medicine to guide healthcare providers and institutions in emergency care for children.

STRATEGIES:

1. Maintain an organized and up-to-date list of clinical guidelines for the care of ill and injured children.
2. Promote quality improvement in Emergency Departments by providing online information and tutorials on QI/QA.
3. Collaborate with other sections in ACEP and AAP on quality initiatives and research.
