Scott Osborn, MD, FACEP
Dr. Osborn is an emergency physician who practices at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. He has been involved in opioid quality improvement work since 2012, initially implementing the Washington ACEP Best Practices Guidelines, which were aimed at reducing unnecessary opioid prescriptions, and later implementing a Buprenorphine (MAT) treatment pathway. He sits on Washington ACEP's Board of Directors and represents the Chapter on the King County Regional Opioid Task Force. His article in 2016 about changing ED provider prescription practices by implementing a policy on chronic pain was chosen as part of the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) 2020 Lifelong Learning and Self-Assessment activities.
