Sean Codier

DO

Chair

Dr. Codier is an emergency physician practicing for the past eight years in a community hospital setting on the North Shore of Boston, Massachusetts. He completed medical school at Midwestern University/Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed emergency medicine residency training at Madigan Army Medical Center in Washington. Following residency, he served on active duty with the U.S. Army, posted in Asia and the US, and deployed supporting combat operations as part of a Damage Control Surgical Team (Forward Surgical Team).

In his free time, Dr. Codier enjoys traveling, attending Red Sox games, and gardening. For the past four years, he has become an advocate for physician unionization as a means to reassert the physician role in our increasingly difficult practice environment. He was the leader for a group of inpatient physicians across several specialties within a not-for-profit academic community hospital who unionized in 2024.

Dr. Codier has a passion for workplace issues. We find the House of Medicine in a difficult place as the structure of our workplace changes. Dr. Codier believes it is our responsibility to manage and address these issues proactively - it is our House.
