Ramnik “Ricky” Dhaliwal is a JD, MD and a dual trained Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine physician, a JD, and a partner at Carepoint which is a multispecialty physician owned group based out of Denver, Colorado but that serves communities in over 20 states.  He is the Department Chair and Medical Director of Swedish Medical Center, a level 1 trauma center in Denver Colorado, and also is the Director of Legislative and Regulatory Affairs for Carepoint.  He is currently the chair of the ACEP State Legislative and Regulatory Committee, is past President of Colorado ACEP, Chair of the Colorado Medical Society Council on Legislation, and is currently on the CO ACEP Board and Legislative Committee and serves on ACEP's Finance Committee.  He has been an important voice in physician advocacy in the state of Colorado and has helped develop COACEP as one of the go to voices for medicine in the state of Colorado for legislators.  He has become on of the physicians that legislators reach out to for feedback and policy decisions related to legislation and regulation within the state of Colorado.
