Heidi Best, MD, FACEP

President, Emergency Physicians of Tidewater

Dr. Best is the President of the independent EM group Emergency Physicians of Tidewater (EPT) in Virginia. Dr. Best has led the group through growth and transformation, drawing from her experiences as medical director, allowing EPT to thrive in its 51st year in an increasingly competitive EM market. She has been formally recognized a leader within our industry, including being named one of EMRA's 25 Under 45 Honorees in 2021.

As an assistant professor of Emergency Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS), she serves as an engaging and progressive role model for the next generation of upcoming leaders in EM. Dr. Best will bring her knowledge and leadership skills to her next role as the incoming chair of Emergency Medicine Business Coalition (EMBC).
