Welcome to the second issue of ACEP’s medical toxicology newsletter! We again have striven to bring the very best educational nuggets to deserve time in your busy schedule.
This issue has two marvelous discussions of pediatric exposures from Drs Prabhu and Karb from Brown EM in Providence RI, an excellent question and answer selection on radiation toxicology from our very own Dr. Jenna LeRoy Toxicology Fellow from St Paul MN, a delicious discussion on ackee fruit and its associated Jamaican vomiting sickness from Dr. Angela Regina Toxicology Fellow out of Northshore NY, and another ‘Big Picture’ (suitable for framing, or dart throwing) from me.
As you can see, this newsletter is a melting pot of great minds from around the country. In this vein, we would love to have submissions from any and all the toxicology fellowships around the country!
To this end, I’m issuing a direct challenge to all the Toxicology fellowship directors to send in their choice for a ‘Best in Show’ one page toxicologic discussion on any subject from their fellows. Each of these will be published in our newsletter as they are submitted and voted on by an impartial group (not yet defined). The winner will receive a great prize (not yet defined).
We hope you find this newsletter enjoyable and informative. As always, feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
