The Clinical Informatics Practice Pathway was set to close soon – which would’ve meant that board certification required completing an ACGME-approved fellowship. But there aren’t too many of those fellowships available! Fortunately, the practice pathway has just been extended.
The new official requirements for board certification in Clinical Informatics are available at the American Board of Preventative Medicine website – they also run a board review course that at least a few ACEP Informatics Section Members have taken.
